if there are any dentists out there i would love some advice on tooth whitening. i know there are pearls with getting it done but, what is best - crest strips, zoom laser or the take home trays? any recommendations would be great.

I think the take home trays are the best, you can top up at any time if you feel the need to without the need to see a dentist again, and i think the chairside/zoom bleaching can dehydrate the teeth.

I was about to start a similar thread until I found this one. I am clueless on this subject. What exactly are "take home trays" ? Where can I get them ? Can these whiteners damage teeth ? What should I look out for, or avoid, when buying a kit ?

Sorry for the interrogation :D. I'd like to try this, but have heard that some can remove part of the enamel from the tooth ?

    All opinions/advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You need to go to a dentist to get them, they provide the bleach as well. You can buy kits over the counter but they are not near as good as the ones you get from a dentist because they dont fit well (bleach can escape).
It doesnt remove enamel, rather it cleans the pores of the teeth (the part that gathers stains/discolouration) You may suffer sensitivity while your bleaching but this will completely subside after.
