i love my car,its 2 litre M sport model.my only problem is the colour! i love black but due to poor car before i bought her the paintwork looks faded and completly covered with the dreaded swirl marks.ive polished it with turtle wax and a microfibre cloth and it looked great for awhile only for them to return looking worse in some parts.ive also brought it in for a pro compound polish which again masked the problem but didnt solve it.its such a beautiful car when its shining but when the swirl marks are obvious i dont even want to drive her anymore.i just want to know a way to rid my car of the marks for good and then maybe a way of protecting the car in the future ie polishin, waxing or washing techniques???
    thanks in advance

If compounding is done incorrectly, it will only dull the swirl marks, nor remove them. You should take it to a detailer, not a valetor. They'll wet sand it (With 2000 grand sanding mops) as much as possible, and then restore it with a good polishing.

Beware though, if it's been polished over and over, there might not be much lacquer left on top of the paint, and the detailers may have a hard time getting the results you want.
