Hi there I am just wondering if someone can give me a rough guide as to how much I migh expect to pay someone for proof reading something for me. Its about 15 pages typed, I want it reduced to about 12 and I'd like the grammar checked too. How would I be charged for this? by page or by words? and how much is proof reading…

You would normally pay per word and the rates would depend on the subject matter and where the proofreader was located. You could maybe submit it for tenders on http://www.proz.com/ and see can you get a few offers?
