    Hey,

My Jobseeker's Benefit ends in about five weeks. If I still haven't found a job by then, I will need to start receiving Jobseeker's Allowance.

Can I start the application process for Jobseeker's Allowance now while I am still receiving Jobseeker's Benefit?

My other question is this. I am currently living at home. I am moving away from home again across the country to begin a part-time course (11-hours per week, each of which is out of 'business' hours) in mid January. I won't qualify for rent allowance (as I found out in a Citizens Information Office in Dublin), but I will need to pay to rent a room somewhere, and therefore I will need an income.
I will be continuing my search for a full-time job. At the moment I am living at home with my parents. But in January I will be renting a room somewhere across the other side of the country while I do my part-time course and continue searching for a full-time job. Therefore, in January my circumstances will have changed drastically. So, should I wait until my circumstances have changed to apply for the Jobseeker's Allowance means testing? Or will it make much of a difference? Because I will need a lot higher income by then, so being means tested now instead of later won't give an accurate test of the income I will require or be entitled to...

    Thanks!
