I have a road bike with nice wheels/tyres but due to having to cycle through a knacker infested route where smashing bottles bus stops is a hobbie , I was thinking of saving my wheels that came with the bike and getting some armadillo tyres and cheap wheels for commuting

Can you advise on wheels and a good armadillo seller for this bike

If they are specialized Armadillo tyyres you are talking about then cycleways on Parnell street have them.

Why don't you buy a commuter bike? Something like a singlespeed?? :D:D

I can't advise on wheels, but Cycleways have a concession in 53 Degrees North in the Blanch shopping centre, is that's any handier to get to for you. I've bought Specialized tyres in there before.

Wolfe Cycles on Sundrive Road had them the last time I was in there (August).

What wheels are on it now? I think they are Shimano something? Maybe best just to keep using them and save up for an upgrade if you want two pairs. They look perfectly solid certainly and the tyres are going to be the only factor regarding punctures, not the wheels.

What I am saying here I guess is I don't understand your motivation for wanting to change wheels if you are presumably going for a budget set.
