stag parties

Hey everyone,
just thought i'd throw this out there and see what peoples opinions are? my boyfriend's going on 2 stags one in jan 2nd in feb. We were just chit chatting about stags and he commented on a friend of mines husbands stag that he didnt go to but it was in Eastern Europe and he was like oh i bet he never told his wife to be bout the 24 hr brothels and the rest and i just said fair enough go see them but you dont have to do anythin and he just said what goes on,on stags stays on stags!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like seriously!!!! I was internally shocked at the way how seriously and matter of fact way he said it. Am i completely stupid?

well he's stupid for saying that, it was only going to unnerve you. People do go on stags and bang hookers whether they're married or have gfs or not. I don't think we can tell you here whether he's going to do that or not though.

He's an idiot for saying something so stupid.
But if someone is going to cheat, they'll do it, stag party or no stag party.

I've been on hens and run into stags and some of them don't care that they're wearing their wedding rings, they have no shame in the fact that they are trying it on with you when they're due to get married. It's disgusting and disheartening. One I was on, I was so annoyed and so convinced that all men cheat. And then I got talking to a guy who was as disgusted as I was and spent 20 mins talking about how much he loved his wife and kids etc.

Faith restored. For a while anyway!

believe me i know there are faithful girls and lads it just freaked me out and I'm some1 who doesn't show it verbally thanks4 your comments. i just wish people had balls of their own and didn't have to give in to peer pressure

it's not about peer pressure, more of a case of when the cat's away, you can have some no strings attached sex with a gorgeous looking hooker.

Have a bit of faith OP... He's probably trying to get a bit of a rise out of you. If your still concerned, talk to him and tell him he's going to lose your trust if starts at that nonesense.

I would put money on the fact that you're single. I know you only posted that comment to get a reaction but it's not very nice. The OP is looking for reassurance and for her fears to be allayed and you're purposefully trying to freak her out.

OP, like someone else said, if your bf is going to cheat then he'll cheat whether on a stag or not. If he does cheat you're better off without him anyway. Try not to worry, it's out of your control.

What happens at a stag stays on a stag is pretty standard. The main issue being that you aren't going to tell any stories about the other people. It doesn't mean the person is actually going to do anything themselves.

I am shocked by some peoples' behaviour at stags or on trips away from home. Some people are just like that and I don't think they would do the same at home. I know that is no comfort but it is the reality.

not really single but girl i'm seeing on/off is in england now. Why would you think I'm single anyway?
I'm not trying to get a reaction. The fact is, I know people who are happily married and great fathers, but were with hookers on their stag nights. I'm just telling it as it is. Should I just shutup?

But no you're right, the majority of blokes wouldn't do it, he's just an a-hole for winding you up like that

Make it clear you are not cool with him using hookers and that its not acceptable because its a stag night.

Ive been on roughly a dozen stags mainly with close friends and family and have to say no hookers,strippers or chasing women ever....we are a nornmal group of blokes,known eachother since we were kids etc.....I think we are the rule not the exception.
So relax when your fella is going on a stag

Anywho, he has been on about ten stags, and two since we've been together. I wasn't too bothered until a friend of mine said the "what happens on tour stays on tour" thing. After the last one I asked him what they'd gotten up to. They went clay pigeon shooting, had some hot whiskeys and went for dinner. I was more shocked that they hadn't hit a strip club, TBH, but he said his group had gotten that out of their system after the first guy got married and the only person who got any action was the token gay friend who disappeared into the only gay pub in town.

OP, I would not worry. If a guy wants to stray he will. I got the impression from my guy that its too much hassle to have to be on the prowl on a stag, its more about beers and having a laugh than notches on a bedpost.

I think he is winding you up OP. If he had intentions of visiting brothels he wouldn't even mention them to you.

I know lads who went on a stag to prague and more than half the group rode hooks while there. Most were in long term relationships.

I would be more concerned about the selection box of STD's the guy could come home with rather than the infidelity itself, which means nothing. Having said that, I still wouldn't cheat myself.

I know the OP is looking for reassurance but in fairness we don't know her fellah and can't give her that. Only she can.

Fact of the matter is that yes, lots of guys (single and attached) sex prozzies while on foreign stags.

The thing is, a fella is probably safer with a prostitute as she will insist on a condom, whereas picking up a girl in a bar or nightclub could lead to unprotected sex as alcohol would be involved.

Would be interested to see how many of the guys on the forum think that sleeping with a prostitute is cheating or not? Reason i ask is that I was having this debate with a few of my male friends recently and strangely a fair few of them (with girlfriends, might I add) think it does not costitute cheating at all?!!! I'm absolutely baffled so other males opinions would be appreciated. (Before I lose complete faith in the male species altogether).

Of course its cheating, but on a scale of cheating it is on the lower end if that makes sense? Having sex with a prostitute is not as bad as engaging in an affair. Guys will do it when they get caught up with being away with a group of lads for a weekend, it has nothing to do with them being unhappy with their OH, whereas having an affair would suggest that might be the case. I know im splitting hairs here.
Anyway, I think there needs to be a distinction made between strip clubs and prostitutes. One is to look at and is just for a laugh, you might get a dance to be a signal of your last weekend as a free man but it's all pretty innocent if you ask me...its when you start looking for more that there is a problem!

I don't think it is on the lower end of cheating. Obviously an affair is worse as it is calculated dishonesty on an ongoing basis. It is physical and emotional cheating. However, I think sleeping with a prostitute is worse than having a drunken one night stand with a person you meet in a bar, say. With a prostitute you are paying to cheat which means it is in some manner more calcuated and obviously the guy wants it so much he is willing to put his hand in his pocket for the privaledge. If I found out my byfriend slept with a prostitute I would get rid of him immediately. I find it more disgusting than a one night stand tbh.

My bf went on a stag over the summer the same weekend I was going on a hen. I was worried due to the whole stag stereotype you hear about but when comparing notes the hens were worse! No cheating or really bad behaviour, but while the men went for dinner and paintballing and drinking the hens were dressed in fake boobs and dancing on tables! He may be lying, but I know fo a fact the bride to be s brother was on the stag so I think not

While stags generally do attract devilment, lads who cheat generally like to attract devilment so a stag or not they will find a way.
