    The Bank

And I know one place that does'nt have them - Next.

HMV has them, as last year I discovered. I was purchasing a CD and a DVD around the Christmas period (For the record, the DVD was none other than "Gay Byrne laughs back"), and as I took money out of my wallet, the girl serving me cunningly spotted my student card, and adjusted the final price of the transaction in order to accomodate for a rather wonderful student discount.

HMV doesn't do it anymore the bastards. I went there to buy a CD last week and they said they didn't do it anymore :( This is what happens whens there's monopolies!

Your first mistake was deciding to "buy" a CD. Your second mistake was going to HMV. Your third mistake has not yet been picked up on by me. :(

But before you say it, I'm not one of those "omg why don't you just download it??!" people. I always buy CD's too, but I've learned in time that buying from a high street store is a losing game.

Last week I wanted a CD. It was €15.99 in HMV, and €4.49 on CDWOW, with Free Postage.

As a result, for less than €5, "The best of the Cranberries" found its way into my CD collection.

And buying anything featuring that whiney banshee Dolores O'Riordan, is the biggest mistake of all ;)

Not a discount, but better. The greatest cover of a Cranberries song ever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9-Tw71TbA4 Ukrainian folk polka cover of Zombie.

I used to love it when Virgin/Zaavi (I think that's the name) done a student discount. I had it for a few months and it proved handy once or twice...then they closed down.

The McDonalds one, is it just with the student travel card? or student card?

    Sh!te.

Perhaps OT but in 'Suas' bar above Captain America's, if you show your Student ID, you get €3 pints. :P

Heatons do one as someone mentioned, 10% off. Handy at times.
