Well firstly you should be looking at the size that you want.
Secondly the amount you can spend.

It's arguable whether full hd makes any difference up to 32" tvs.
Also something to note is that nearly all ps3 games are not "in full hd" they are only 720p rather than the 1080... Also something to note is the fact that only a blu-ray player or if you're playing games from a pc will there even be a technical difference in the picture you see.

I fink that's the way it is anyway

SkyHD is also doubtedly 1080 unless it specifically states so. Even my HD cable stateside is at best 720. Outside of Blu Ray and PC, 1080 is really too much cash and rarely utilized by the display. Of course that could change within a year, so go nuts :)

I bought a 32" Samsung series 3 lcd in power city for 380 squids recently. pretty happy with it.
It also has digital tuning built in. I.e. you'll be able to pick up the current and new digital channels for free. If you want to spend more at 32" you could go for the series 4 - has 3 hdmi inputs versus 2 on the series 3 and also has better contrast. I use mine with xbox 360 through hdmi and it looks great. why spend 800 when you don't need to...
