Hi folks, heading over with a couple of friends the first week in April for some cycling. Plan is to do the TT course the first day, and a more scenic 120k coastal circuit the next. Looking at the TT course, it seems the most significant challenge is the mountain road out of Ramsey. Has anyone done any cycling over there before? In particular the TT course? Would be glad to hear of it if ye have.

    Cheers

Lived in the IOM 10yrs ago. The climb out of Ramsey isnt very long.No challenging hills there.Maybe the reason Mark Cavendish doesnt like mountains.Go to youtube and get some on-board footage from the TT races and you can view the course. You might leave the bike at home and take a motorbike after you watch that.

Was over there years ago for the cycling week, which was a few weeks after the TT. The TT course is a really nice spin, the roads are all perfect really great surface, the only challenge is the Snaefell climb, it's long and steady, nice decent on the other side.
