The best one i have used is the v-max molly 55g form Hornady, its brilliant. Havent see a fox get up yet, in my opinion they are the best, a bit pricy though but worth it.

Hornaday V max 40gr and Federal V shok do the job for me. Both about €26 a box.

Any varmint round that shoots well in your rifle(ballistic tip, hollow point, soft point) will get the job done.
    dont use full metal jackets....
Zero an inch high and good to go...

Spot on the money, beat me to it.

What works in one rifle might group like a scattergun in another. Buy a box of each and go play with paper ;)

i'v bin using American eagle 50gr hollow point in my tika tactical and they are ok and €14 a box. i tried some winchester 64gr soft point €20 but they didnt want to go where i wanted them to go. i picked up 2 box's of 55gr hornady v-max varmint express @ €25 a box, i have high hopes for them. i'll let you know how they go for me.

Im sure the hornady v-max will shoot well.....never heard a bad word of em yet and im on my 3rd 223 and all of em loved the v-max

The most reliable out of my CZ was sako 55gr gamehead.
A very powerfull load too, designed for roe.
    then
    AE 50grHP second best
    40gr v-max also very good
    45grHP UMC also OK.
For long range fox my choice was the 55gr sako.

From a tikka Tactical .223 for foxes my vote in order would be
    accutip 55gr
    vmax 55gr

I find the accutips overpriced TBH

I don't own a .223 myself but two lads I know quite well use the American Eagle hollows. One in a T3 tactical and the other on a Remington 700 of some description. Neither have any complaints about the round.

I find that the AE hollow points, tend to loose a lot of oomph after 180 yds, whereas the ballistic tips just seem to whack that little bit harder for that little bit longer

Agree, thats why I moved to vmax (€25) but if cost wasn't an issue accutip (€32) all the way

I not disputing the fact that AE 50 grain is good ammo, it groups very well for what it is. It just isn't as good as a ballistic tip. Its a great round for long range rabbits.

Hornady 55grn moly, zero 1.4 inch high @100 spot on 200 down 7 @ 300so perfect on foxes with very little hold over out to 300 IMHO

    Devastating on a fox.
I bought 200 @€;26 a box. I have used remmy accutip I found them not as good as they cause copper fouling . moly is the only job in screaming fast rounds.

I hit 19/20 rabbits on adverage with them. the 1/20 I miss Is my fault :) I sometimes have tried to hit a long range bunny with incorrect hold over as I guessed the range and was off by an inch etc
