Belkin Wireless 'N' Router problems

I've just bought a new Belkin Wireless 'N' Router and am having some issues setting it up to the PS3. Everytime I go to wireless settings I go to scan to find the wireless connection but it says access point cannot be detected. If i manually enter in the SSID and enter in my WEP key an 8001000A error comes up an i cannot connect to the internet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Have you googled the error ? Maybe this will help:

What made you buy a Belkin anyway, iv had nothing but trouble from all their hardware, and wouldn't recommend that brand.

I had a similar problem with a Belkin N router. To fix it I threw it in the bin and got a Netgear one instead.

Same here...nothing but trouble from the one I had years ago. Never will buy a Belkin product again.

    Depends how its setup really.
    Maybe your SSID isnt broadcasting???
And maybe it isnt set up as WEP? Is that the factory defaults?

I have a belkin n1 the last yr or so with no probs. I also have a wireless G extender on it for my xbox. I didnt know at the time but xbox does not support N -so Im glad the only extender i could find was G. Maybe the ps3 has similar restrictions on network type- it might be worth checking.
