    Hey,

I'm just looking for a bit of advice on any form of grant for going back to college next year.

    My story :

I started college last year in the WIT and had to drop out due to illness sometime in march, also having to stay out of work during this time.

I have been claiming sick benefits ever since (I have tried going back to work TWICE in this time, so please do NOT judge my situation on me dragging my illness out)

I am back in work now for the 3rd time, against the advice of my doctor and may not see the weeks end at this rate (that, and the doctor wont give me an -ok for work letter- to give to my employers)....

I am doing this all for the money just so I can

    1. get better,
    2. Afford college next year when i go back.

Now the thing is, If i stay on ill benefits (which it looks like i will be for some time) untill I go back to college, is there any form of grant that would cover even just the registration fees?

I am looking for ANYTHING to help me out to get me back into college as the tought of being stuck in this job, or stuck on ill benefits has me absolutely horrified.

Is there any kind of maintenance grant I could also apply for since Iv been living most this year off 204euro a week.

I live with my parents, and my mother is in full time work and my father owns a business in town, only newley opened.

    Thanks,

My advice is since you're parents seem to be doing too well to get a decent grant next year I'd say you should have stayed on benefits. As far as I know if you've been on social welfare of any kind for a year or over you're entitled to back to education allowance. It's not having your fees paid for but it's something!
