    Hi There,
Have a coolant leak think it might be the radiatior but Im Bricking it might be the head gasket. Got the car nct'd yesterday failed on tyres but no mention of anything else. If the gasket was gone or on the way out would that cause a fail on emmissions????
Have just put radweld in so hoping its just this anyone any Ideas???

Is there any evidence of oil getting in the coolant, or coolant getting in the oil (e.g. yellow/white stuff on the dipstick)? What car is it?

Wouldnt necessarily effect emissions. First peform pressure test of coolant system, i.e. pressurise the system at the rad with the engine off and check for leaks. If no leak found, peform compression test on each cylnder, a cylinder with a significantly lower pressure reading would be indicative of a possible head gasket fault. Thirdly, do a 'sniff' test as this would pick up any C02 from exhaust gasses laking into coolant system.
