    Hi all,

Could anyone tell me how to make a scrolling twitter widget for my website?

If you look here http://www.kickboxingireland.com/ you'll see on the left a scrolling widget, however on twitter itself you can only design widgets with a manual scroll bar.. or am I missing something?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks guys.
    Jon

    http://twitter.com/goodies/widget_list

When you go to design your widget on the Twitter site, click on preferences in the left menu, then disable the scrollbar and enable the timing preference :)

It will allow you to test/preview the widget and then it will provide the code for your site.

Hey thanks for that, the widget is now up on my site altho it displays no tweets. The little timer becomes operational in the top left corner as if it was busy but nothing happens. I'm testing it under f12 as opposed to uploading it to test.

Did you get it working? If not, have you got a link?

If the tweet list is empty, maybe you need to edit the JS source to include your twitter username?

Hey again, got it. You were right I had to edited the JS source and change the loop to 'true' in the code- that was it.

    Thanks for your help!
    ;)
