    Hi all,

I'm going to New York next week and don't want to get hit with data roaming.

Is it possible to buy prepaid data bundle that can be used abroad? 50-100mb or something like that?

I'm off to San Francisco next month and have looked into it a liitle bit.

    1. Get a sim from here, http://www.mrsimcard.com/iphone.html for $79.99 for unlimited data, calls and texts for 30 days.

    2. Roam! €5 per meg for me with Three roaming on ATT.

Looks good, but is there any issue with SIM-locked iPhones?

Yes it would need a sim unlock on the iphone, am thinking of getting the mrsimcard option, would be handy if I stuck it into my nokia e71 and used the joikuspot wifi sharing for my iphone, and for gf's iphone and for laptop.

Then again it might be a better idea to be a little bit more offline on the holidays!

Unfortunately if you only have a locked to o2 iPhone it's very expensive compared to say Vodafone -
I was in Washington recently with both a Vodafone and an o2 sim card. This is how it worked out -
Vodafone Live in US cost me a very reasonable 99c a day up to 50mb.
If I had of used 50mb with o2 in the States it would have cost me €250!
