    Hi can anyone advise on a mechanic to check a second had car before purchase? I'm in the south dublin area.
    What would be the usual cost?

    Don't know any southside mechanics. I'd say €30-€50 or thereabouts. Bring the car to them so they can stick it on a ramp.
