Land Rover mechanic wanted!

    Hi, I own a 1972 Range Rover Classic and I am looking for someone to recommend me a mechanic / Landie nut to have a look at the gear box. The Hi/Lo gear lever wont stick in Hi and keeps kicking into neutral. It drives in Lo alright. I had an original over drive unit fitted and since have had issues. I've been warned by Land Rover enthusiast/owners to stick with experts when repairing or servicing. Since the guy I've used in the past has left the country, I am looking for someone to have a look at it for me. Thanks

    What part of the country are you in? No point in sending you to a guy in Wicklow if you live in donegal.

    Am in Dublin city. German Pete was the mechanic who worked on it before. He was based out in Blessington.

    Are the "Kings" still in business in Wicklow town (as in Brendan King)?
    When I had my Range Rover a good number of years ago, they looked after me very well. They know everything there is to know about Range Rovers...

    I think their business is/was called Mobile Motors Limited...

    Hi Rocketman,

    I didn't know that about German Pete, I thought he went into doing German cars Audi and VW. Think he is based in Blessington.

    Anyway, Kings 4x4 in Wicklow, theres also ON & Off Road in Tallaght (don't know much about him, but he does do land rovers)
