    What was it like?

Don't know the first thing about music at a wedding. So looking for ideas.

Saw a female busker in Galway City playing the harp and it was fantastic.

Could one be used as an alternative?

    Me again!
We had a harpist. Her name is Mairead Whelan and she was just excellent. I f you google her she has her own website. She can organise other musicians to accompany her as well.
    I really would recommend her.
And for what it is worth, turkey and ham /beef option IMHO:)

We had Mairead also and she brought along a flutist too. Great price, lovely music, lovely singing. We were married at Christmas and she sany plenty of Christmas songs also. We then had her come to the hotel afterwards and she set up in the corner of the bar for mood music, beautiful.

Excellent, thanks for info. I'll google her so.

    Was she reasonably priced? Expensive?

Also try a friend of mine Lucia based in Munster at www.celticweddingharps.com, shes reasonably priced and has plenty of experience at weddings, plus the harp sounds amazing..!

Mairead was very reasonable, I was quite surprised to be honest.
