Hey just wondering my normal collection date for JSA is tommorow but it said on radio/news that payments would be delayed by one day is this true? if this is true will i collect my payment on Thursday so instead?

it says if you get payed through Post Office using your Social Service Card that it wont be affected
but it also says if your weekly payment date is Wednesday which is my usual day for payment that there will be a delay of one day this is according to RTE website. Anyone know the real story?

I know the Post Office is not on strike but is still said on website that payments would be delayed by a day for some people as of course social welfare offices are on strike.

Found out this information on Welfare.ie website thought it might be useful regarding the strike and payments.

Dont think I will be affected as I get paid using my soical services card accroding to this anyway unless anyone has any other ideas.

It was made crystal clear on the news reports that people who receive their benefits through the post office were unaffected.
