Myself and wife work in the private sector, and work very hard and get little out of it. She now works a 3 day week, and over half of her wage goes on child care for the 2 kids. She has just had to take a 15% pay cut as her company do not have the funds due to the down turn. We were down financially from the last budget, and I’m sure that we will lose out again in December. But that is just the way it goes. We have made huge cut backs in our house to deal with it, and there really is nothing more than we can give, but the way we see it If there is no money in the Pot there then that is it, deal with it!

You don't see us on the streets, giving out that life oh, so unfair. We just have to crack on and deal with the hand we have been dealt.

Why the hell are all these people taking a ‘day of action’ when it is quite obvious there is no money to give for the back pay, and there will be cuts in their wages/bonuses in the coming few weeks. The teachers striking have meant that some in the private sector have had to either take a days holiday or pay for a child minder to look after kids. At what point are they going to realize that the country is on its knees and needs to make serious cut backs. We ALL have to bear the brunt.

Also wondering if there public sector will be having a little Christmas Shin dig this year at the tax payers expense, to keep moral up! One thing that my wife’s company will not be able to do!

I know that there will be people flaming, slagging and abuse from some in a certain sector. Can I just ask that you keep it clean, as there may be kiddies reading :D
