    Hi

Heading to Manchester in December with partner and daughter (11 months)

Anyone recommend a good hotel (£200-250) near Piccadilly.

    Thanks

Try the City Inn- its right in the city centre at the train station! Its excellent- couldn't fault it at all- here's my review of it if you are interested!

How long are you staying for mate? Like is that £200-250 per night or for 2 or 3 nights or what?

Try the Macdonald Manchester Hotel. About a 5 minute walk to Picadilly (from where you can get the tram to Old Trafford). Lovely hotel, friendly people etc. 2 nights in a family room sets you back about £240 from memory.

Not sure about availability if it's this weekend though.

I'm with the other posters who recommend the City Inn. Right beside the Picadilly Station, close to the centre. Apple Mac in the room and free internet.

There are a few Premier Travel Inn's in Manchester, one on Portland st (city centre) another close to Victoria station/MEN Arena. I've stayed in the Portland st hotel, it's good & the room was spacious & comfortable. I've also stayed in a couple of their Liverpool hotels, and I'd recommend them.

However I don't know what facilities they provide for babies.

The Malmaison is beside the City Inn - very handy for the train station if you are getting the train from the airport.

Serious tip mate, get the train to deansgate instead, mostly every half hour from the airport, and your a 2 minute walk to the Blue Rainbow Serviced apartments- lovely 5 star apartments and shouldn't be more than £110 a night for a 2 bed on a sun and mon. Bathrobes, roses on the pillow, breakfast basket , 42 inch plasma, i could go on all day. Check out bluerainbowapartments.com or see what lastminute.com are offering on price.
2 minute stroll to the train and tram station with the arndale etc a 10 minute stroll
