Have a xps 13 laptop for bout a month now and it has serious problems with it's wireless card. It's a 1515half card and it keeps on disconnecting from the network every 10 mins or so. Very annoying, was wondering if anyone else has had problems with dell wireless cards?

You could try and re-install the latest driver for your wireless card, by connecting with a cable to your modem/router, logging onto Dell's support site:
    http://support.euro.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx?c=ie&cs=iedhs1&l=en&s=dhs&~ck=GuidedPathHomePage

Enter your Service tag and this will bring you directly to the page where you can download the latest driver.

If that doesn't work, call them.

You wouldnt be hitting the switch with your hand as you work would you. Many dells have a small slider on one side that controls the wifi card.

hehe nah it has a touch sensitive wifi button above the keyboard so I'm keeping my finger away from it. Was doing some googling, not sure if that's the correct spellin :), and it turns out that the 1515 card has a number of connection issues related to it. In my case it has trouble connecting to WPA connections but will connect to WEP no problem so I just had to reset my modem to WEP, now it works fine (Driver issue). Apparently the 1510 card is made by Broadcom and has no such issues whereas the 1515 card is made by Atheros and their drivers are rubbish.

Just a head's up for anyone thinking about ordering one, your better off with the 1510 card and I don't think there is any difference in price. Alternatively you could always get an Intel card of e-bay which is something I'm considering doing as WEP is'nt exactly safe so I want to be able to connect to a more secure network if I need to.

I've had a similar problem with Dell laptops in the past and the commonality is that it always happened after installing a suggested driver update from Windows Update. Going back to the Dell driver sorted it out.
