if this weather doesn,t change soon i will become world home trainer champion 2009, i seem to have spent more time on it this year than before.very frustrating as i genuinely want to be out on the roads.
after a few weeks of using the training programmes website recommended by caroline i have strong urges to buy a whistle, wear my trousers hanging below my boxers and pull on a hoodie!

You could actually go for a cycle.....

With good gloves, overshoes and a nice baselayer it's fine. Use good lights if you can't get out in daylight.

If it's cold/windy and dry...wear an extra short sleeve jersey under a longsleeve jersey or soft shell jacket (preferably windproof).

If it's wet wear a rain jacket.

I cycle harder when it rains and wind makes you stronger.

    I'm damn glad I didn't buy a turbo trainer :)

Ah come on the weather is grand. It's surprisingly warm outside for the end of november. I am actually motivated more when it's raining.. but i am a strange guy anyway :p

Edit: I have a turbo trainer.. and it has seen very little use!

the main problem is flooding of roads near me, tried to cycle through one two weeks ago and banjoyd my bb, it is fairly mild for this time of year, at the moment trying to supplement my winter training with some road running after work in limerick .had a forest gump moment lst nite when i started running and kept running for an hour and half!the plan at the moment is to have 3 spins during te week and a long spin at weekend,so apart form last 10 days or so everything is going to plan.

I've a turbo but have been out in some of the lovely weather of late. Sunday was "fun" with the wind and rain pelting down. This morning, we were getting blown around in sheet rain for a period on 3Rock. Very strange as it was only coming down in the middle part
Ran into a few flooded roads at the weekend too. Once you don't cycle through anything that isn't too deep, you'll be fine. If your BB is submerging, then the water is too deep! Clean the major gunk off too and it should stay running.
