Yeah i saw it, their message is getting accross but most of the people they're aiming at are in the pub!
    Very sad though :(

I just wish they'd stop ruining catchy songs.

    "I wanna walk you home.."

not scary enough when you see some of the sh*t that still happens day in, day out on our roads. this country has some of the biggest idiots in the world driving cars....speed, speed and glory, thats all they want.

if these adds save one life, then its a bonus, but in reality, some lads need to be in an accident before they will slow down. sadly, in some cases its too late.

All these ads do is piss me off tbh, people who drive recklessly aren't going to give two shits about them

    This ^^

We had to do a speaking and listening exam for English last week; on one of two posters or two poems.

This is one of the posters
It shocked me beyond belief. Seriously, I'm not joking, don't look if you're easily shocked.

They may be shocking, but they're a reality. If they make someone take notice and think more carefully about what they do, then they're serving their purpose - they could save lives.

For ****'s sake Brummy, you bastard! I won't be able to sleep tonight. Surely that can't be real, who would volunteer themselves to that?!

I thought the ad in question was very good. It wasnt the usual one with cheesy music and a dramatic scene. It was a guy telling us that one moment of absolute stupidity has completely ruined his life and is urging you to learn from his lesson

That means that it works then doesn't it? :)

It is real apparently.. the woman was hit by a drunk driver. I presume she agreed to the pictures to help prevent other people ending up as she did.

I didn't choose that poster, I chose another. Then afterwards, I came up with what I thought was a great idea - the manly hat, contrasting with the feminine pink, signifies a complete loss of identity :D

Ah yes. English exams. Just bullshit your way through it and all will be good. I remember them well.

This "Well it works then" crap is stupid.

I don't drive drunk and I never will. Neither will the people who this ad gets at. I don't need an ad to tell me that drink driving = bad. Generally, the type of people who drive drunk won't be affected in the least by these ads because they're either complete morons or live in denial. So they serve no purpose other than to make the RSA look like they're doing something.

On topic, you've probably all seen this advert haven't you? But I think it's good

I actually like the ad that has the doc/no not our doc, saying "You don't want me to meet your relative in my line of work" or something to that effect.

It's an ad that makes you listen, although his voice and demeanor is sexy, maybe thats why.

    But it works.

I don't know if these ads work at all... Still so many cases of death on the roads caused by drinking and whatnot that I keep wondering if it's a pure waste of money.

Yup, that's it. As a scholar myself, I consider myself good enough at English. How? Because I can make up reams of bull**** from anything. See information where there is no apparent information. Everyone that gets A1's in English are master bull****ers, and will probably go on to be politicians.

    I'm not making this up.
