    What sort of playing on what sort of style ? A reader or a busker ?

    Look up the violin players from the rte orchestra. Thats how I found my cello player. Their really nice and always willing to help you find someone else if they are not what your looking for :) I know it seems impossible to find them at times but theres loads!

    The best player in my experience is a guy called Ken Rice, for those old enough he was in a band called Engine Alley back in the day.
    He has a great mix of Classical and Rock/Pop, has great tuning and groove and his violin has a great tone. Also a gentleman to deal with.

    Wow that's freaky I was just looking up Engine Alley the other day and came across this. I'm learning the violin at the moment, and I thought he was good.
    he gives a cool rendition of the old gay byrne show theme as well as playing ABBA on the violin .. :)
