Apologies if this question has been asked a million times.

I can't seem to accept invites from friends playing Waw or MW2. Nor can they accept any invitations I send them.

AND I can't "join their sessions" in MW2.

Is this a common occurance can anyone tell me or is it me?

Not too techy answers please, I know f*ck all about modems, routers, NATs etc.

I've been defending PSN for the last two years against the critics who claim that XBox Live is better. Looks like I may have been wrong.

you realy need your nat type to be 1 or on MW2 its called "open". depending on who you get your broadband from theres different ways to get that.

who do you get your broadband from?

    Didn't work.

When I got to "test connection"

    The Optain IP address failed

    Scrub that. Got it working.

Feel a bit stoopid actually. Had tried 3 or 4 times when I remembered I had the PS3 connected to the modem with a cable. I do have a wireless modem but it just happens to be sitting under the TV.

    Thanks for your help.

No, I wasn't suggesting you were an xboxer. I do have one and never had problems connecting with people. I get sick of xbox owners telling me how XBL is better than PSN when having played on both I always thought PSN was every bit as good.

This NAT thing doesn't seem to be a problem with XBL.
