    Hi there,

    Please see attached picture.

I'm hoping somebody from Boroimhe or the surrounding areas has seen our beautiful 7 months old female kitten who went missing on Saturday morning 21/11/09 from Boroimhe Maples during one of the very heavy rain storms of that morning. She is recently spayed and still shows evidence of an operation on her under belly.

Her broken hearted family would love to get her back or follow up on any potential sightings. I will give a reward for any information leading to her safe return.

    Cheers,
    Eamon.

I'll keep an eye out in River Valley. Hope you get her back.

    Thank You so much.

I'm hopeful she is still alive due to a lack of road kill and the fact she went missing during that rain storm on Saturday morning in which she could easily have become confused while looking for shelter. I have dropped leaflets into the immediate area but (so far) to no avail. It is certainly very possible that she made it to River Valley, Ridgewood, The Nuseries, Forest Hills, Oulart etc or equally possible that somebody local spotted her looking like a drowned rat, assumed she was a stray and took her home with them.

I'll be out on the bike again later-on looking and I really appreciate you keeping an eye out too!

I'm very glad to report that we were reunited with our kitten tonight :D. She had managed to travel over 1 km (as the crow flies) to Drynam, where she was taken in by a very kind person and brought to Clontarf Vets, who did a sterling job patching her up. She looks a bit the worse for wear with superficial injuries to her head and tail but they will heal in time.

It is nothing short of amazing that she has survived considering the distance she has traveled, crossing numerous roads including the M1 motorway and the R132, through all the recent bad weather and somehow manage to happen upon such a kind person who not only took care of her but also bothered to search on-line for missing cat ads to find us.

So I hope this story will offer some small glimmer of hope to others whos pets go missing. We feel like we have won the lottery and I'm sure the odds for our successful outcome were something similar. I'll post a pic of her and a list of all the websites where I placed missing ads (if the mods are cool with that?) tomorrow.

    Thanks to all.

Too right she doesn't leave our sight. She has escorted toilet breaks and then she is scooped back into the house - I can only imagine what the neighbors are saying!

It's nice to have hard evidence that decent people, who are willing to go out of their way to do something selfless do actually exist. Certainly restored some of my faith in this society of ours.

Here is a list of all places on-line in which I posted a free lost ad. Hopefully it will help somebody else get the word out quickly:
