Mods sorry if this isnt the right place for this just thought people here would have the most experience.

Anyway its just a quick question regarding tickmaster tickets. i am going to pick up 2 tickets for Arctic Monkeya in the O2 from toutless. The tickets are not actual tickets but printouts. Can I be sure if these are real and not fake and also how do printouts work will i need to go to a ticketmaster desk to pick up actual tickets?

    thanks

I would be wary...what's to stop this complete stranger from printing off these tickets twice and ensuring he/she goes to the gig really early so that when you go and get your printed out tickets scanned, the security people see that your ticket is a duplicate?

Maybe if the seller has sold quite a few tickets on toutless i'd do it...but be careful!

Ye thanks for the reply. So with a printed ticket you turn up and they just scan the printout and let you in with out you ever getting an actual ticket?

If you went to an easons with Ticketmaster would could they give you actual tickets if you gave them a printout?

We've something on it here. In theory any ticket can be invalidated it is just easier with the printout types to sell multiple copies. I've heard mixed reports of people getting them changed for real tickets. It appears it can be done but policy is to not do it so it depends on who you get.

Well the one i was planning on getting them off works were i live. we were supposed to meet up last Wednesday but she has forgot the tickets everyday since. She promised she will have them tomorow and she is genuine. So she has knocked a tenner off them and told me were she works if there is a problem. Then she tells me they are printouts given to her by her friend but now she cant go.
So its a tough one will problaly just go for it although the friend thing sort of adds to the equation. Any advice to cover your arse if it goes wrong?

There's nothing really you can do if it goes wrong. I bought two e-tickets for I Love Techno in Belgium off toutless and they were fine, so it all depends on whether you trust the person you're buying them off or not.

At the end of the day it is up to yourself,

Ticketfast tickets can be easily copied by any individual looking to scam a hapless buyer.

Then again, Toutless is running over a year and a half and I've yet to hear a complaint about anyone scamming with Ticketfast tickets. The users on Toutless are a decent community and aren't out to scam anyone!

If you really think the seller is out to get you, get her to come to the gate with you when you scan your ticket.

If you know where the person works / can see her in person if it goes tits up, then its probably a genuine sale.

To be extra safe though, head down early and make sure your one of the first people in.

Thanks for the replys. Im just gona give her the benifit of the doubt ill prob head there early anyway. And sure regards her workplace that just could be made up. Anyway thanks again lads for clearing up about the etickets.
