    Hi,

I am soon to upgrade to a 3Gs from my 3G, and I have some questions, hope you can help me...

Is it easy to transfer all my data from one phone to another?
Is there anything I could lose?
Will I lose my jailbroken files, or will they sync back when Sync through iTunes?
How can I be sure that when I wipe all my files from my current iPhone, that the next buyer doesnt see these files again?

Anything else i should know too?

    Thanks in advance

Create a backup in iTunes by syncing the old iPhone. When you plug in the 3GS you will be given an option to restore from the backup and the new iPhone will be set up as the old one was.

The exception to this is any jailbroken apps, which will not be restored. You do have an option in "Rock" to make a backup also, but as I understand this, it only re-downloads each jailbroken app and individual settings within each app are not restored.

I don't know that someone couldn't resurrect your files. Maybe the safest thing to do is to re-install the firmware by using "restore" in iTunes and then don't re-sync to a backup or to your music etc.

The last thing that I can think of is - did you buy any apps through Cydia or Rock? If there are licence codes for them make a note of them before you do anything
