Just finished watching the first season of this, and i have to say i think its an excellent series, looking forward to getting stuck into season 2. I'm a big fan of Tim Roth anyway, but I really highly recommend this show. Anyone else of the same opinion?

very good show, but i think it has changed a good bit over the fist 1.5 seasons.

I prefered it when they gave you a chance to spot the lies and try to work stuff out. In the second season it seems to be more like a standard enough cop show.

There is one episode, where there is a small bit of lie detection at the very beginning, and the rest of the ep is just a standard 'who done it' detective show.

I've watched the first 5 or so episdoes of this and find it to pretty weak. It reminds me a lot of House, which I really dislike, and I imagine the similarities are not coincidental. The whole idea of dragging out a far-fetched, if hum-drum plot in order to showcase the talents of the protagonist is just annoying, but I have heard that the series becomes a bit more interesting later on. Should I stick with it for a few more episodes or is it a one-trick pony?

well i've only watched the first season so far. I've enjoyed the season to date, but i will admit i found myself getting far more involved in the last 3 episodes of the show. More character development, and excellent story lines. Thats just my opinion though.

Have been watching this show since it started on Sky 1 and I have to say it is one of the best shows on TV in my opinion. Just find it really interesting.

Just looking to see to anyone else watch it and see what other people think.

I did a search and couldn't find any threads so if this is one of many about this show I am sorry.

A friend of mine actually recommended it to me the other day; think I'll give it a go if I can find an online stream...

Thing is its not that far-fetched. Well not in comparison to House. House is just ridiculous - thou entertaining once you get past the ridiculousness. (was watching this last night and House and foreman were arguing over which case to take - as if taking two at once was some major workload...lol....House would not survive the HSE thats for sure)
But the science/physiology stuff in lie to me is actually fairly accurate so far as i know

i have been watching house for a while now, but having watched the first season of lie to me in a relatively short time frame, I dont find house as entertaining now. Lie to me just has more substance to it, good humor, and good story lines. I would recommend people to give it a go at the very least.

started watching this from the start of season 2. i enjoy it, but then i treat it like a "cop show" with a guy who just happens to be able to spot liars a mile off.

i have to say though, good and all as roth is, i can never take him seriously when he cocks his head to one side, stares at you and says "but thats not the truth love/mate is it.......eh? .......eh?" :D

House is actually based on real life medical mysteries i.e. cases that did and do exist but are sooo rare theyre hardly ever seen. Itd be boring watching the flu or broken leg every week.
Watched the first few episodes of Lie to Me and have recorded the rest of season 1 so better get round to watching them at some stage!

    You noticed that too, eh?
At 5' 7, he has to do something to make himself seem more intimidating. :)
