I've been hearing so many stories about Dub taxi drivers going on about the rest of the country and they sound so thick lol.

For instance my Friends aunt and Uncle were back visiting and they had to get a taxi down to Cork and the tax driver was telling them about how he heard how electricity was only installed here recently,Or with myself,The driver whom actually owned the cab company too went on about how Cork was ment to be very Tribal...In all fariness:o

Let 'em off....if anyone's stupid enough to show their ignorance to that level, then THEY'RE the ones who are thick as ****, not the rest of the country.

They probably agreed a fare in advance, unlikely it went on the meter.

Your aunt and uncle must have money to burn if they can afford a taxi for that trip. Bus Éireann is for poor people? It's an hourly service with a rest stop

That's probably the biggest earner that taxi driver has ever done. It wasn't insulting, it was only a joke. All they had to do was tell the driver to stop in the nearest town and they'll get someone else. That would shut the driver up

Then again, the taxi driver is obviously good at bull****ting and talking through his arse - he probably told them there were no buses or trains to Cork, either...
