i need help with these maths q's

A sum of money of divided between pat and bill in the ratio 3:7.
Bill recieved 240 euro more than pat. how much did each recieve?

    (b)

a person bought 200 booklets at 1.75 euro each.
on selling 140 of these books the cost of all the booklets is covered.

i Calculate the selling price of each of the 140 booklets

ii the remaining booklets were sold at 2.50 each. express
the profit as a % of the total cost price giving your answer to
    the nearest whole number.

iii for how much each should these remaining booklets have been
sold so as to make a profit of 24% on the cost price?

    thanks

For first one think of it as a 30% / 70% split.
    Therefore the difference is 40%

    ok

question (b): 200 books at £1.75 each is _____ [i'm guessing you got that] :)

In the rest of the question this is called the "cost price" or "total cost price".

So, basically you sold 140 books and got this amount of money back.

    [more to follow if needed]
