Yet another gun choice question

I'm going to run into a bit of cash in the next few weeks and hope to get a new AEG.

So so far I'm currently eyeing up an ACM Masada or a G&G GR15 raider with Blowback.

I hate the tan on the Masada so I intend to paint it black but its still a sweet looking gun. Although on the other hand as common as a M4 is blowback is a real sweetner on the deal.

    Suggestions anyone?

    Regards.

well you can get the licensed Masada know in black so that's an option

out of the two it really comes down to the look, do you want it for a specific loadout or impression?

I'd so with the Raider for performance, Masada for gucci factor,

It'll be a while longer before we start to see the spare parts like the 11 inch barrel and spare selector switches etc, available for the Masada. The gun comes in black aswell too anyway so ya wont have to paint it. :)

Cheers Pud they only place I saw the black one was ehobby and TBH I'm not into the whole importing AEG's.

Was thinking the same thinking because of the large supply of Masada's it might become the new M4. I'm not looking for a specific loadout either.

Performance wise they would be par would they? The blowback is very appealing to me although I don't want to get it and be disappointed by the lack of recoil. Does anyone know how hard it kicks?

Masada is this the same one as yours? It seems a bit longer?

Then us with the "illegal" one will be able to claim some sort of elitism on having an "exclusive" Masada over the filthy common Licensed one. :D

Nah, the Masada is a decent performer out of the box but it doesnt really compare with the G&G. I tuned mine as soon as i got it and then just ditched the gearbox in favour of a G&G one. I have been thinking aobut getting one of the pneumatic G&G ones (the blowback) and sticking that in, tinkering around and making the Masada a "blowback".
As far as recoil goes, there is none at all, its basically a moving bolt cover and its really only a cosmetic thing. It makes a cool sound when firing it though, the main reason i like them. :)

edit, yeah that masada is the same as mine, bar that one being licenced of course. :)

the word blowback is a bit misleading, the system does not really add any recoil it just refers on the g&g to the movement of the bolt cover, you get no kick really more a vibration, just adds a different sound to the aeg

Listen if it does become the new M4 you will still have a year atleast of being the only guy on the field with the new shiny ACR [the Masada's offical US desnation]

Cheers lads that a bit disappointing TBH that was one of the main reasons I regarded the G&G the better choice. I couldn't really mind the sound of an AEG tbh I don't want to make a choice over the sound it makes.

As regards the Masada internals would they be on par with the like of a Dboys/JG?

In all honesty I think it was the tan that put people off them :P
Nothing better than not having an M4 though.

Its your money either go for the ACR or another M4.

The Masada internals are decent, nice strong gears and piston. The shell is only a 6mm though so I stuck in a 7mm G&G box instead., there is a few common problems some people have been having with them, like the stock catch breaking etc, it really depends on how well you look after it. Mine was the first in Ireland and is still perfect but the material they made it from is a little on the flimsy side.,
