How to safely remove a usb device when using linux mint 7

    Hi

    Sorry to sound like such a nag but i im using linux mint 7 and i cant find 'how to safely disconnect a device' anywhere in the menu when i have a usb key attached. Any ideas on how to solve this?

    right click on the icon for your usb drive (either on the desktop or in the file manager) and click unmount volume.
