Has anyone noticed that the Glock 18 pistol doesnt say Glock on the slide it says Gluke instead

Would it be beacause Glock wouldnt give them permission to use their name or something?

As far as I'm aware none of the weapons in the game are authorized by their respective owners. Why would they be, they're not advertising to an open market to be fair.

Look at all gamers going back, goldeneye PPK instead of PP7, Counter Strike, Deagle instead of Isreali Arms Desert Eagle etc. They are all copyright terms and therefore are protected in name only. The actual shape of the weapon is copied so many times it cant be protected. A different slide or firing mechanism makes the cosmetic appearance of the casing irrelevant

FN had huge marketing in this game if I am not mistaken.....

When you go to pick up a gun, FN made rifles actually say " FN " before them.

I'd imagine there was big marketing from H&K and FN. Saying there wouldnt be is a silly comment, youd be shocked to know the marketing that goes on from gun manafacturers in films and tv, so why not games.

Its a big marketing seller to countries like America where gun laws are a little easier, but just about everywhere.

The weapons used in the game are very modern.

The ACR by Bushmaster ( previously owned by Magpul under the name "Masada") is in its final prototype testing in the field with special ops.

The Scar is has been in service with special operatives for some length, but you wouldnt find it massed produced with the us rangers. Also it would be the Scar-L using the 5.56 casing, not the Heavy, which uses the ak round.

The Tavor is NOT a Russian rifles. It was made from the ground up by the IDF for the Israeli army. There is no way they would be sold to Russia for use , or would the russians even consdier it. Big flaw there in my opinion.

The M4 you see in use in the game is not infact an M4 carbine. It is known as a Barret m56 ( or something like that). The give away is the wide width of the rail system, along with the flip down front site. Also noticeable is the significant recoil from the rifle in this game, something not similar with the previous m4, and it just ahs bigger kick. Making me beleive this is the Barret, which uses its own specialised ammo inbetween the 5.56 and 7.62.

I'm off the belief that they literally just watched a series of future weapons and started using the guns from that, cause most of the rifles in this game, are still in final operator testing, or just not correct.

I'm positive us rangers dont use Scars on mass, the russians do not use Tavors. I do not belive the ACR is actually ready for combat use.

I'm still sick the HK 416 is still not in use in this game. The most popular rifle in use worlwide by special forces in america.

The glock 18, ashockingly enough from memory, is not even a full auto pistol, I may be wrong, but I'm sure its the 19 and 23 thats full auto, with the 18 being semi, although may be mixing up with the 17.

Guns in the game are cool, its a very futurstic look on weaponry rather then modern.

I think it is the 18 that is automatic Doc.
The NYPD use the 19 so i couldnt imagine them using fully automatic pistols as there service pistol:)
    Good waepons review though:D
