I was with the perfect guy for the last 15 months, but I want to travel and he is in an amazing job right here at home and, if he leaves it, he probably won't be able to get it back.
We've talked about it a lot, but, earlier tonight we had a big fight and decided to go our own separate ways. I know that I won't be able to settle until I see a bit more of the world, but it was his suggestion to break up.
That was a few hours ago and have been up all night crying. Am devastated.
    Say nice things to me?

You are doing the right thing right now, its really really hard now, but to be happy in a realationship you need to be happy with yourself. Look to the future, this actually is a good thing, you are free! That is a great thing, make the most of it when you are young.
It is important that now that you have seperated, keep it like that. Dont cling on. Travel and be yourself. If he is meant for you, he will be here for you when ever you come back, in one or two years or whenever.

By the way, you are a beautiful, young, inteligent young woman with the world at your feet, go out and enjoy it!!

    True, but not very helpful.

Thank you. That is very good advice. He came over today and we're talking through it, but maybe I'm better off following my dreams. Love can happen a few times for a person, but life only happens once.

go travel if you have the itch you need to get it out of your system. be brave. i have done all my travelling and i am so settled now. we have only one life you gotto live it.... and the world is small he has got holidays. internet is great and in fairness i know lots of couples that survived the travel stuff.
for example, a guy went off travelling and his girlfriend stayed here she has her own business and she went out on holidays to him in a couple of exotic places. they are now married expecting a 2nd child. he just had to get the travel out of his system and he came back and got engaged to here. another girl i know went to australia travelled he went on holidays to see her and now they are married with 2 kids!

The person maybe the most perfect in this present state in time but 5 years down the line that person may not be. Travelling is something people need to do experence the world is a good thing, seeing the world is even better seeing sunny paradises ibye pacfic blue ocenas is just out of this world... so worth it.
