So i got a DSL401 back in June 2nd hand for €390 . Its been working great since a few weeks back . When switched on it crackled and stuff so tapped the tubes and found the problem , One pre-amp tube. Went out to Xmusic and bought 4 sovtek 12ax7wb's . Got over my dads friend to help put em in . He discovered that one of the sockets for one of the pre-amp tubes is a bit naff . Amp still sounds fantastic , no doubt , but crackles for about 2 mins after turned on then stops .

    What should i do?

That's usually caused by a cold solder joint or possibly dirt/grit in the valve socket(s).
Valve sockets can be cleaned by spraying a small amount of non lubricating (no residue) electrical contact cleaner into the socket and working a valve in and out a number of times.
Your problem does seem more likely to be dry/cracked solder joints though. This is a job for someone who knows what they're doing. The DSL boards are awkward to get at and it has a pretty flimsy type of PCB so an inexperienced guy can easily make the amp worse by burning off the solder pads or burning the board itself.
