Public service strike on Tues - will post offices be open?

    Title says it all really. Does anyone know will the post offices be closed on Tuesday, due to the public sector strike? If so, I assume it'll be ok to pick up my JSA on Wednesday (due on Tues)?

    Thanks guys. Particularly re State Benefits, though, I was also wondering whether my JSA will have come through tomorrow or not. Guess I'll find out tomorrow :-D

    Welfare payments made electronically, ie, collected at post offices, or paid to bank accounts, will not be affected. Payments due for collection at SW offices tomorrow will not be paid until Wednesday, as the offices will be closed.

    i think im the only 1 who didnt get payment, i have a feeling the girl who i told i was going away for a week never bothered her arse doing anything about it so they cut me off....another trip to the SW office for me Tommorow..how frustrating :mad:

    (The guy in my post office said he reckoned everyone's had come in ok today, but he was skeptical for those due to get theirs tomorrow...)
