Hi, I'm Italian, I would like to take the driving licence for car (B cat.). In Italy I did the theory test and I passed, but for personal reasons, I missed the practical test.

    1) I would like to understand all the steps in order to get the driving licence for car (I did some researches on the web, but it's still not clear to me).

    2) Because I passed the theory test in Italy, could I take only the practice test?

    3) What is it the learner permit? How can I get that?

    4) I read that you should have your own car to make the test. If I don't have one, how can I do the practical test?

I'm a little confused:confused:, if someone can help me clearing my head, I will appreciate.

thank you very much donegalfella;). Now it's clear.

    Just 2 more questions:

    - For the theory test, should I take lessons at a driving school or can I study on my own (I'll buy a theory book)?

    - Where should I apply for the theory test and where is it taken?

    thanks.

Just one question: is there an official driving theory book? Where I can find it?

    Thanks.
