Lovely club. I love them at address, suit my eye very well. Good balance of feedback and forgiveness. Very happy with them.

Hit the new ap2s last week at a custom fitting as i was looking at getting a set of them myself and didnt find them to be too hot. Just didnt like the lack of feel. Tried the new cbs as well and got a much better feedback. Id say try before you buy as everyone will have different selection criteria.

I got custom fitted for the AP 2's at Carton House last March. I have to say that I had "demoed" these before this and had my mind made up that I loved them. Previous to these I was hitting the 990's for 8 years and had no interest in changing until I had hit the AP2's. Lovely irons.

Yes, played the AP1's all last season and dropped 3 shots so decided to change to AP2's in December. I didn't want the newest one as I had read really good things about Project X rifle shafts so I got my used club guy in the UK to try and find me a "nice" set with rifle 5.0 shafts and it took him about 3 weeks but came up with a brand new set with upgraded flighted shafts and I love them great sound great look and great performance and the flighted rifle shafts mean that the 4 iron is in play again as I had stopped using it with my AP1's. Unless you have €800 to spend go for the original AP2's as I am told you won't tell the difference.

I tried them and didn't like them. With the marketing push they did with the AP1s and AP2s I was expecting them to be a big seller, but they don't seem to be all that common. In fairness, maybe it's something to do with the timing of the launch.

I had two or three sets of Titleist irons in the DCI and 965 days. They were never the best in terms of feel, but sat really nice. The APs still have that slightly dead feel but the angles on them look so awkward to my eye.

They do make good gear, but there's certainly a core following who would buy Tour Distance Y-Fronts if Titleist put their logo on them...

Myksyk, I'm looking in your direction ;)

Does that mean my Titleist tour Y fronts are far east fakes?

Check that they allow for smooth takeaway and good ball control ... oh, and good forgiveness on the re-insertion move. If not ... they're probably fakes.
