Window Vista Error code

    Hi, A friend of mine has been trying to download Updates for Windows Vista but keeps getting an Error 800B100. We have googles it and there are a number of differant solutions, has anyone ever come across this error and solved it?

    When exactly does he get the error, is it when window tries to install the updates? Have you tried turning off the Windows Updates to isolate the problem as being directly attributed to Windows Updates.

    I hate windows update , too many errors :(

    the most important thing to do is to empty the internet explorer cache.

    next you can empty the temporary files downloaded by windows update, can't remember the folder offhand
