Puppy stamped to death story - it was a lie

Just to update everyone on this horrible story; it was a lie.
Private Eye reported this week that the puppy died of a viral infection and had no injuries.

Of course, the mainstream media have not reported this small fact. Including the Express who made a big deal out of the story, including where they bought the poor little girl a new puppy.

Interesting too is the fact that the little girl suffers from attention deficit disorder!!!!!

It was always possible that the child lied and the mother new no more but the fact there weren't any visible signs of harm is pretty shocking.

What would of been more interesting in a story sense would have been if they identified teenagers. There would certainly have been people who would have attacked them. I would suspect there will be some sort of retribution on the lying family now too.

Also the tabloids' fault for not getting the full facts before they printed it. Of course they're keeping quiet about it now that it's all been a lie, typical.

Exactly, they obviously went no further than the child herself when verifying the story. That's journalism today unfortunately; the story doesn't even have to be real to make it to the front page.
