Not a member but I had a couple of flights with them in the summer, flew out over the west coast, really spectacular scenery for GA flying. They were busy during the summer, lovely friendly bunch to deal with and good facilities at Ireland West, great having that big runway all to your self in a little Piper!
They have 2 aircraft based in a hanger next to the airport fire station, so they use the main commercial Apron, most GA aircraft use the other apron and hangar. Website isn't much use but John Kilcoyne is the man to call 094-9254306, www.connaughtaeroclub.ie. There's also a helicopter training company based at apron B - irelandwestaviation.com.

Connaught aero club operates EI-AOB,pa 140 and N38974 Piper Warrior (ex EI-CTT). Privately owned G-HYLT and N370AJ are also based at the new Club apron which has been built beside apron A on the left. a hanger will be constructed in the coming weeks. Eirtrade aviation and long stay visitors operate from Apron B. no helicopter training school has operated or operates at Knock in over 2 years since Ireland west aviation went belly up.

Thanks. Hopefully I'll be starting lessons in December.
