Hands; overrated?

I for one welcome my hands; they provide me with excellent grippage and control. But I have pondererd what it would be like to live without hands. Though I possess hands, is it possible to live having been stripped of those hands?

It would suck. I wouldn't be able to type this. Unless I learned how to type with my toes...but my toe co-ordination is poor.

If I could make a few enhancements to hands I would make them bigger, give us more fingers. And the ability to vibrate. No reason for the last one...just think it'd be cool...

I hate to imagine what life would be like if I lost my left-hand let alone the both of them. Though it does give me much more respect to those without hand(s) and how they can adapt.

On a less serious note:

No ****
No typing
Eating crisps becomes harder
How would you wipe yer dirty arse
Untie your shoelaces (assuming someone was cruel enough, double knot)
Open a can of beer
Open a bottle of lemonade / water
Get that itch out of your foot (rubbing the other foot on it just doesn't cut it.)
Lighting a fag
Buttering toast
Playing a video game
Fingering / fisting yourself a lovely girl
Flipping someone off
No more biting your fingernails (that would be the devastator for me)
Playing the guitar / drums (though Def Leppard's drummer did fine with just one arm)
Clenching your fists in anger (clench your toes, maybe?)
Using a touchscreen phone
Flicking a snot at someone
Undoing those godforsaken button-fly jeans (you're own fault for wearing them.......I hate 'em so much)
Choking your arch-nemesis (we all have one) with your bare hands.

I think most people would get by well enough by celotaping two ping-pong bats onto their wrists and stapling some wriggly fizzy jelly snakes onto it for fingers. I've tried it...grand.

But that'd be fine. Scoff the jellies and pull the staples out with your teeth and spit them at your PA in order to get her attention to reload the ping-pong bats.
