Problem with Truvativ crank

    i have a 08 boardaman comp http://www.boardmanbikes.com/2008/
    ive been having problems with the gear shifts last few times ive been on the trails and after checking them out today i noticed that the 2nd cog on the crank is bent must have got a bang.
    problem is i dont know which cranks to buy to replace them. are they 170mm or 175mm????? what is this a measurement of???
    if i wanted to upgrade what would do the job for me??????

    Get Deore XT hollowtech. Your crank arm you need is 175mm.

    However, You can just replace the gear cog for a few €€.

    You will need to change the BB for the hollowtech route. Its a worthwhile upgrade. The BB comes with the crankset.

    Well, If you dont have the tools its best to get the LBS to stick it in for ya.

    Those cranks are pretty cheap, If you are going to get them buy em asap AFAIK shimano dont make LX anymore, its now SLX.

    LX are excellent cranks.

    Presuming it is just a single chainring that is bent, you can replace that a lot cheaper than the entire crankset.
