Nah. I'd say they'll be driving instead of running.

I'm assuming all buses will be as they aren't public servants. Also Cork forum.

I'd have thought the buses will be motoring, and the drivers driving! :D

the unofficial word i have heard is that they simply don't know yet. i think they're holding out on it being called off & if it's not will decide what to do then.

Whats the chance of the strike actually going ahead? I have a feeling it will be called off.

to be very honest i don't think it will be called off.

the feeling was pretty bad when the last strike was called off, i think people felt like they'd had no voice in the cuts that happened. mainly there wasn't much grumbling about it though, people just accepted it and got on with it.

but i think that they'll push on with this one, people feel like they're being victimised, bullied and demonised and unfairly treated (if you agree with that or not is a whole other thread though, i'm not opening that discussion here lol) and they want to make their voice heard. or at least to demand that they are treated fairly.

it would be great if they reached some agreement at the 11th hour, everyone would be happy with that. to be honest i think most people i've spoken with in the PS are accepting that there will be cuts, but they're very worried about the severity of them and how much they can take so they want to at least try to make their voices heard and not just lie down for a kicking by cowen & co.

I'm protesting against the strike on Tuesday & plan to pass as many picket lines as possible.

    Ah balls.
OP This thread has too much AH on it to clean up and move without being cruel.
http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=246 is the commuting and transport forum, might be more likely to get a decent answer there.

Not so much a case of ask a silly question, as ask a reasonable question in a silly forum, it seems!
