Someone told me that there was a tourney this sunday (22 Nov) in the Castletroy park Hotel. Anyone have any info on this???

Ducuum is a charity based in Castletroy, Limerick, dedicated to building schools and improving education in southern Sudan. Every penny raised goes directly to helping children in Sudan.
Ducuum's mission is to support and encourage educational projects in areas most affected by high illiteracy among girls, parents and other adults who missed out on their education; and to help the displaced and economically disadvantaged students access tertiary level.

6. How can tickets be purchased & is there a maximum number (in advance, at the door etc.) tickets can purchased at the door. Maximum of 100 tickets. If you know you are definitely going to attend we would appreciate it if you could call to book your seat so we could have a general idea for numbers for food etc.

7. Type of Tournament (Hold'em/Omaha etc Freezeout/Rebuy etc.) NLHE with rebuys

8. Cost of entry and any subsequent rebuys/top-ups etc. €50 buy in. Maximum of 2 rebuys at €30 each. Maximum of 2 add-ons at €30 each. (ie if you rebuy twice, and get the double add-on, you will spend €170). [Rebuys can only be made when you are out of chips.]

9. Cost of registration €5 (this is included in the €50 buy in, ie. it is €45+5)

10. % of entry fee/rebuys/top-up going into Prize fund 70%. The remaining funds will be given to Ducuum

17. Places being paid and if any prizes are other than cash (free entry to other tournie, merchandice etc) If entry is between 50 and 80 players, final table of 8 is paid. If entry is greater than 80 players, 10% of the field is paid.

22. Are there any cash games offered, if so, please outline the rake for each limit offered. There will be SNGs for those knocked out of the tournament. The registration will be 10%/11.1%/12.5% (depending on if the SNG is 10, 9 or 8-handed). (ie for a €20 SNG, the reg for the total SNG is €20, regardless of if there's 8, 9 or 10 players)



This is a charity tournament with all funds raised going to Ducuum. Ducuum is an excellent charity because every cent raised goes directly to Sudan. No money is spent on advertising, rent for office buildings etc. If you donate €1, you can be sure that your €1 is going straight to Sudan and helping to build schools. Most of the founding members of Ducuum are Sudanese women who have been displaced by the war and are now residing in western countries. One of these women is living in Limerick, and whatever money is raised from this tournament will be given to her, and she will litreally go to Sudan and use the money to build schools there. It is not like several other charities where the money changes hands ten times before it reaches the people in Africa. I think this is an excellent charity and I am delighted to support it through this poker tournament and I hope that we will get a large attendance for it.
