What time does the fight start?

The American broadcast starts at 10pm EST which would be 3am here. The fight will probably start at around 3:15 or 3:20. The Primetime coverage starts at 12am, apparently.

    Odds here

    The Fightwriter is picking Ward

For anyone with sky digital the fight is available on primetime, it's ppv though.

I think kessler will out box him and wear him down to either a late stoppage or a points win, will be a good fight though i'd expect

Rush Boxing club and Rush Martial Arts head coach.

I think Kessler could have a good weight advantage on fight night and should be too strong and experienced for Ward, who can be wild at times. Ward has speed and variation, but not much power. His penchant for switching leaves him wide open too, and against Kessler he will be punished. I see Kessler taking over after he settles and figures Ward out. Anyone think activity (Ward) vs. inactivity (Kessler) will be a factor in Ward's favour?
    Also, hometown advantage

Weights are in, Kessler 167 and Ward 166 1/2.

I think this is Calzaghe all over again. Not sure why people under estimate ward. He is one of the smartest boxers in the world.Going to enjoy watching Ward out box Kessler.

yeah i feel ward can do to kessler the same what calzaghe did. i think he is a similar fighter with th speed and combinations to trouble kessler.

    should be a good fight

This good fight, IMO close MD for ward ... he does enough to win, kessler no joke shown that in the past but i think ward has the edge here
he has good leg movements and is a good counter puncher with speed also a bit a power which will mix well with his speed..
    tonight will say alot.enjoy:D

I think Primetime's coverage starts at 12am so they wiill probably be doing a lot of talking about previous fights, maybe show some undercard fights and highlights of the other 2 fights in the first round.

Fairly blatant use of the head there in places from Ward, he doesn't look any great shakes to me. Kessler was far too reserved for my liking, Ward was basically sitting on the ropes and getting backed into corners and Kessler didn't really follow up his jab at all. Surprising.

There is a black dude in a white tracksuit sitting ringside who keeps standing up, I want to kill him.

Not because he's black though, should clear that up!

ref should of let the fight go on.f$%k the cut Kessler had,the power of Kessler was going to hurt ward in d end.

not at all, those were bad cuts and could have led to pernament damage. he should have been pulled out of the fight sooner. I expected Ward to win but not as emphatically as he did.
Kessler should get back to winning ways against Froch, if losing this fight didn't mess with his head

What is the feeling on Kessler here? Was he just beaten by a much better fighter? I watched his fight against Perdomo and he looked very rusty to me. Did the inactivity and soft opposition since the Calzaghe loss hurt him? Is he still the same fighter he was before? Was he as good as we thought he was?

Where is he at now in his career? Is he still in his prime? Were a couple of his very best years wasted with his promoter problems?

To be honest, I really don't know what to make of the whole thing and would like to know what others think.

Rather than Kessler being in decline, i feel it's a case of Ward not getting the credit he deserves.
I think Kessler simply had no answer for Ward's handspeed and footwork.
each time Kessler tried to throw his dangerous right hand he was missing by some way. Also Ward seemed able to tie him up at will and Kessler was unable to fight his way out of it. Kessler is still a good fighter and can make the final.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's Ward he's facing in the final of this tournament. Abraham will be a tough fight for Ward but i think he will be too slick for Abraham to ko and end up prevailing on points
