    Hi all

I have just got the iphone a few weeks and on the rte.ie website the phone will not play the real player clips. Is there software I can download or setting that i need to adjust?

    Thanks

    Short answer - no.

RTE uses REAL for their current stuff and Flash for their catchup service.
Until such time as someone creates an RTE app to access their content you won't be able to view any of it.

iPhone browsers don't support any of the main media types, Flash, WM, Real etc so the only way to watch video is via a custom app, YouTube, or podcasts through iTunes.

    Well that answers that.

Thanks for the info. Much appreciated.

That's not strictly true - I listen to Phantom FM through the Realplayer plugin in safari on my iPhone all day. Maybe it just doesn't support streaming video.

Would you have a link for that ?
