Hi all,

My friend has become interested in an un-inhabited rural property. It is not up for sale, but he would like to enquire as to the possibility of purchasing it. The problem is, he does not know who owns it, nor do any of the surrounding neighbours.
Does anyone know if there is a way to find out the details on the owners of a property -- like an online property registry or similar?

Try the land registery. Several offices depending on what county you are talking about
